Today everyone is speaking about corruption. It's not because they are concerned about it but because they have the habit of following. From Day 1, a child is taught to follow, may be his elder brother or sister, may be his class mate or it may be any other person. There are examples given - He studies for 10 hrs, you should also do. He is doing this, even you should try. My friend is supporting Anna Hazare, even I'll do. My father follows Ramdev's yoga teachings, so he'll follow even his unnecessary fast.
I want to ask a question to all my countrymen, will joining the protest of Anna & Baba remove corruption? I know many will say it'll stop to some extent or probably it'll ensure a proper punishment to the accused. But will that really solve the problem in the long term?
If you want a corruption free country, it’s you who have to change & not the country or the politicians. If you will not give, from whom will they take? I don't think if you want to protest, you should join these undemocratic movements, due to which the ministers have one more reason, to not look at, or do their regular work. Rather you should encourage yourself, your friends, and your colleagues to stop spreading corruption. BLACK MONEY does not only mean money in Swiss Bank or any other foreign bank account. The discounted money that you are paying to any shopkeeper for not taking the original BILL is also a black money of that shopkeeper. This is also corruption.
Money given to any traffic police officer just for not making the CHALLAN of your bike is also BLACK MONEY of that policeman. Even this is corruption. I would really be happy, if the troops of Anna Hazare & Ramdev would have started different camps, at different locations all around India, focussing & spreading awareness on different points where we unintentionally or just for our comfort are boosting corruption. If this would have been the situation, I think even the government would be embarrassed. The work that government should have initiated would have been started by the common man. But ALAS! We are still trapped in the dirty politics. We are still not grown enough to think beyond it. Just hope that all of us understand one day that corruption will not stop by making an institution that keep an eye but by changing ourselves by stopping it at grass root level. If it happens any lucky day I don’t think any more BILL will be required on this issue.
P.S. - It's completly my thought, no disrespect to the government, Anna Hazare or Baba Ramdev. Comments are welcome :)
